Shaun Smith

Founder and President of Overland Youth—a veteran, father of three, and passionate advocate for empowering youth through hands-on outdoor learning and leadership. With a background in military service and a lifelong love for the outdoors, Shaun brings structure, heart, and purpose to everything Overland Youth offers. His time in the field taught him the importance of responsibility, teamwork, and resilience—values now embedded in every campout, hike, and mentorship moment. While pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration, the vision for Overland Youth took root. Shaun recognized a deep need for real, accessible experiences where youth could gain confidence, life skills, and a sense of belonging—especially those who might not otherwise have the opportunity. As a father, mentor, and man of service, Shaun is committed to creating spaces where young people are seen, challenged, and supported. Overland Youth was born from that belief—and continues to grow because of it.
